1 arrested in connection to Pine Bluff homicide

LITTLE ROC — Pine Bluff police arrested one person on Thursday in connection to a homicide.
Christopher Edmonds, 37, of Pine Bluff, was charged with capital murder and theft of property.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Nebraska Street around 6:10 p.m. on July 16 in reference to a possible shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Omar Amos, 45, dead inside a residence, according to police.
Police said an autopsy found that Amos died from severe blunt force trauma.
Edmonds was being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
