1,124 new COVID cases and 49 more coronavirus related deaths reported in Arkansas

Little Rock, Arkansas – 1,124 new COVID cases and 49 more deaths were reported on Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Arkansas.
Arkansas reached record-high hospitalizations at 1,819 during the peak of the omicron variant. But those numbers continue to decline as well as active cases.
The state has officially surpassed more than 10,000 deaths as a result of the virus as of Saturday.
A total of 10,190 people have died in Arkansas due to the virus and over 1.55 million have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

• Active cases: 12,966 (-1,586)
• Total deaths: 10,190 (+49)
• Hospitalized: 1,004 (-46)
• On ventilators: 155 (-2)
• Fully vaccinated: 1,559,894 (+978)
“New cases are again lower than last week. Our positivity rate of 12.4% is back to where it was around Christmas. Hospitalizations are also down to early January levels. Let’s keep moving in the right direction,” Gov. Hutchinson tweeted on Wednesday.
