2,327 new Covid-19 cases and 34 more deaths confirmed in Arkansas
Arkansas – Arkansas on Wednesday reported 2,327 new cases of coronavirus. Of the cases reported, 1,757 were confirmed and 570 were probable.
Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
“This morning I had a very productive meeting with community leaders in northwest Arkansas. The discussions around health care, education, and business provided my team and me with valuable insight into the challenges that are being faced as a result of this virus. Because of a delay in our computer system, today’s report was delayed later than normal.”
Health officials reported that hospitalizations are down by 17 with the patients in the hospital at 1,064. Currently,179 people are on a ventilator. There are 176,652 total cases of the virus in the state. Deaths have increased by 34 to 2,786 cases. Of those deaths reported Wednesday, 31 are confirmed with three probable.
The top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 276; Benton, 165; Washington, 136; Craighead, 125; and Garland, 89, according to the health department.
There were 18,765 active cases reported; 135,214 people have recovered from the virus.
