501 Youth Summit to host “Taking Back What Belongs to Me” event

Little Rock, Arkansas – Jessica J. Green in conjunction with the 501 Youth Summit will host the “Taking Back What Belongs to Me” youth summit held at the Statehouse Convention Center.
It is “designed to encourage and promote leadership, develop and increase confidence and social skills, awaken creativity, reduce and prevent risky behaviors and ultimately increase the quality of life,” events organizers said.
Panelists will focus on mental health, physical health, drugs, police interaction, spirituality, bullying, self-esteem entrepreneurship, and the legal system.
The conference sessions begin on June 11 at 10:30 a.m. and will include a panel discussion with Officer Tommy Norman, Judge Tjuana Byrd Manning, City Director Ken Richardson, Towanna Garnett, Charlie B. Garrison, Tommy Sproles III, Lady Teressa Devine-Whitmore, Ciceley “CeCe” Mcdowell, Shayla Hooks, Timothy Coleman, and Minister Louis Anderson. A spiritual impartation session will begin at 7 p.m.
According to organizers, the event is free to the public, but they’re still accepting donations. Lunch will be provided and there will be door prizes given out.
