A man from North Little Rock receives a 15-year sentence for illegally possessing ammunition
Little Rock, Arkansas – A guy from North Little Rock received a federal jail sentence for unlawfully possessing ammunition.
When Terell Davis, 40, entered a guilty plea to being a felon in possession of ammunition in February, authorities said he was a multi-convicted felon. On Thursday, he was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. He entered his plea following an indictment for possession in February 2023.
In addition, Davis received a three-year supervised release sentence.
According to officials, investigators executed a search warrant on Davis’s residence following an investigation into a gunshot that occurred in North Little Rock on August 9, 2022. Officers found numerous 50-round drum magazines and ammunition in the following calibers during the search:.45,.40,.410,.38,.357, 7.62×39,.223 caliber, and 9mm.
The ammunition was discovered when Davis was on parole. He has prior convictions for homicide, cocaine possession with intent to deliver, first-degree violence, and fleeing in a vehicle creating danger, according to officials.
According to officials, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives conducted the investigation that resulted in the sentencing on Thursday, with support from the North Little Rock Police Department.
The federal prison system does not offer parole.
