A mother from North Little Rock claims that a box holding the possessions of her stillborn baby was taken from her house
North Little Rock, Arkansas – On January 4, Saulane Watson came home to a heartbreaking scene in North Little Rock.
When Watson saw her door wide open and realized she had been the victim of a burglary, she called the police.
Less than $5,000 worth of goods were taken, but the largest loss was a little, worthless box, according to a police report.
“It contained the clothes from when my stillborn son was in the hospital,” Watson remarked. His footprint was on it, too. It had photos of myself and him, as well as some of his medical records. That was all gone.
According to her, the anticipated due date was January 5, 2020, which would make this time of year much more difficult without the physical memories to cling to.
Since that was clearly the day my kid should have been in my arms, Watson said, “That due date is still very important and heartbreaking to me.”
Watson is inspired to keep searching by an empty shelf that formerly housed those memories. “I won’t care if nothing else is returned to me,” she stated. “That particular box holds immense significance for me.”
TVs, game systems, and laptops are among the other stolen goods, according to the police report. According to North Little Rock police, no one of interest has been found yet.
