A number of runners take part in the Dare 2 Tread the Trails competition
Jonesboro, Arkansas – On Saturday, October 12, the Jonesboro D.A.R.E. Program sponsored its seventh annual Dare 2 Tread the Trails event in Craighead Forest Park.
The event was held all across the state of Arkansas.
The runners were up and ready to start at an early hour. Along the trails, there was a 5K, 10K, and 20K run that took place.
As stated by Lynae Prater, who is affiliated with the D.A.R.E. Program, this event serves to raise funds for the children.
“It’s just to raise money for the kids that we go and see every single year, almost every single day,” Prater said, “Seeing the community come together, exercising, having fun, getting some giveaways, having a great day.”
