A vehicle collides with Taco Bell
Brookland, Arkansas – A woman reportedly confused the gas pedal with the brakes, resulting in her crashing into a fast food restaurant, according to police.
Early Saturday morning, an incident occurred at Taco Bell, located at 8039 U.S. Highway 49 in Brookland.
Officer Eric Stevens informed K8 News that the driver, identified as an “older woman,” mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake while attempting to park her vehicle.
The vehicle subsequently smashed through the front glass of the restaurant.
Stevens reported that security footage from within the restaurant revealed that her tires were still spinning when her vehicle eventually came to a halt.
Although the store sustained significant damage, both the driver and the employees working at the rear of the building emerged unscathed.
Stevens did not indicate whether the driver received a citation.
