Little Rock, Arkansas – According to AAA Arkansas Weekend petrol Watch, the average price of petrol in Arkansas is $2.80 per gallon for normal unleaded fuel.

That price is four cents higher than it was on this day last week. With an average rate of 2.84, drivers in Texarkana pay the highest of all the major Arkansas cities under observation. At $2.74 a gallon, Pine Bluff drivers pay the lowest price.

A gallon of normal unleaded costs $3.14 on average nationwide, which is two cents more than it was on this day last week.

According to AAA gas prices, today’s price is the same as the stated price per gallon at the same time last year.

White House representatives declared that taxes on imports from Canada and Mexico would be postponed for one month. Canada and Mexico accounted for around 70% of the crude oil imported into the United States, with Canada accounting for the majority.

AAA spokesperson Nick Chabarria stated, “While tariffs can have an impact on gas prices, they are only one factor among many.”

Global supply and demand, seasonal demand, production levels, refinery maintenance, natural disasters, and geopolitical and international events are few other factors that could affect our gas prices. It’s hard to say when or how much gas prices will rise. The price of crude oil, which may be impacted by tariffs, determines fluctuations in gas prices in considerable part.

While distillate inventories decreased by 5.5 million barrels, gasoline inventories increased by 2.2 million barrels.

The transition to summer blend gasoline will cause fluctuations in gas prices as spring draws near.
