After Saturday morning’s storm, Central Arkansas is experiencing downed trees and power outages
Little Rock, Arkansas – Thousands of people in the state’s central and southern areas were without electricity.
In Little Rock, a number of huge trees fell on power wires.
Near the Governor’s Mansion, at 17th and Gaines, a huge tree collapsed on a line. At the intersection of Charles Bussey and Maple Street, another tree just missed a house.
Apart from the power equipment, fallen limbs caused damage to multiple automobiles.
PowerOutage.US reported more than 34,000 outages over the central and southern regions of the state at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday. There were just over 13,000 outages at lunchtime.
Grant County and Saline had the highest number of outages.
