An $8000 reward is being offered for information that will bring a missing Stuttgart lady home
Stuttgart, Arkansas – A family in Stuttgart is struggling with the reality of having no communication with a loved one for eight years.
The eight-year anniversary of Michelle Owens’ disappearance from Stuttgart, Arkansas in 2015 is April 19, 2023.
An $8,000 reward was announced during a balloon-releasing ceremony at JB Bryant Park in Stuttgart for anyone with information that results in the return of Owens, an arrest, or a conviction.
“I know Michelle is still alive. Michelle is not dead,” Owen’s sister Katherine Johnson Walker said.
The last person to hear from Michelle was Johnson Walker. On the day she vanished, they spoke on the phone.
Owens was last seen near a vehicle wash on East 13th & South Main Street, according to the Stuttgart Police Department.
It’s now. Eight years have passed since today. How long till we receive any information or solutions? What has Michelle become? Where is she? Johnson Walker stated, “We want to know.
The Stuttgart Search and Rescue Team, which has been fighting to bring Owens to justice since 2015, planned the balloon release. The company was created by Joe Alexander Jr.
“Michelle was known all around Stuttgart. I mean all around town. When the news came in that she was missing, it was a shock to everybody,” he said.
Not only is it upsetting because Alexander Jr. knows Owens, but he also understands that anyone, including his family, may experience this.
“You think about it could’ve been your daughter, it could’ve been your child to just disappear, Alexander Jr. said. “Eight years, no information, that’s a hurtful thing.”
Many individuals are asking for Michelle’s return, solutions, or resolution.
“The Stuttgart police Department wants to solve these cases and bring peace to our community,” Stuttgart Police Chief David Parker said.
Stuttgart Police Department has partnered with a retired police detective and special investigator to bring new insights and strategies into the case. They’re specifically focusing on questions surrounding the first days after Michelle went missing.
