Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The number of active cases and number of hospitalizations are decreasing in Arkansas as the state reported more than 400 new cases on Sunday, health officials say.

According to the Sunday’s report issued by the ADH, Arkansas reported 417 new Covid-19 confirmed cases and 15 virus related deaths.

Since the start of the pandemic last year, Arkansas added a total of 492,650 cases and 7,590 deaths so far.

Currently, there are 12,494 active cases which is 579 less compared to the Saturday’s Arkansas daily Covid-19 report.

The number of hospitalizations decreased by 6 now reaching 861 hospitalized patients, while the number of people on ventilators increased by 2, now reaching 232.

A total of 3,452 doses were administrated during the 24 hours period.

This is what Gov. Asa Hutchinson said on Twitter when presenting the latest report:

Active cases are at the lowest level in over two months. Our united effort to reduce COVID cases is working. For those who haven’t gotten the vaccine, please consider doing so this week. For those who have, consider getting the booster when it becomes available.
