Arkansas – The rising trend in cases continues in Arkansas as the state once again reported high number of new cases and deaths on a daily basis.
According to Arkansas Department of Health Friday’s report, the state 2,407 new positive cases to its pandemic statistics.
In the same report, 33 people were reported death as a result of Covid-19 complications.
Since the start of the pandemic last March, Arkansas reported a total of 431,507 cases while the total number of deaths reaches 6,614.
As the numbers are rising in the last few weeks, the interest for vaccines is increasing and more people are deciding to get the shot. In the latest report, more than 9,000 doses of the vaccines were given across the state.
The number of active cases increased by 191, now sitting at 24,978.
The number of hospitalizations is 1,397, which is a slight decrease from the day before.
Twelve more people were added on ventilators support and the number is now 343.
