Arkansas Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets hold leadership challenge camp
Arkansas – A week-long leadership training camp is held at Camp Robinson Maneuver Training Center Areas. Over 250 Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from 22 Arkansas high schools are participating.
They practiced repelling and other small unity team-building events.
According to leaders, these camps help improve confidence and teach kids leadership and team-building skills.
“This will lead to some young people deciding that they want to join the military, it will lead into some young people deciding they want to further their education and doing something great with their life after high school,” retired Col. Pat Daniel, JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge Commander said. “It will certainly lead to a lot of better citizens that are better prepared to be great citizens in our community.”
Cadets consist of 9th-12th graders.
