Arkansas Division of Emergency Management crews responding to a wildfire in Sheridan
Sheridan, Arkansas – According to authorities in Sheridan, they are fighting a wildfire that developed Sunday afternoon.
The fire happened in the area of Highway 35 North and Grant County Road 51, according to the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management.
Initially, about a dozen homes in the area were evacuated. As the first continued to spread, authorities began evacuating homes in the 1500 block of Grant 57 to the 1000 block of Grant 51.
At this time no injuries have been reported and the situation is still developing.
