Arkansas gas prices on the rise
Little Rock, Arkansas – The continued maintenance of crude oil prices at or above $80 per barrel, combined with rising demand, has led to an increase in the average price of fuel in Arkansas.
According to the AAA Arkansas Weekend Gas Watch, the statewide average price for a gallon of normal unleaded fuel is currently $3.17 in the state of Arkansas.
The price of regular unleaded gasoline in Texarkana is now the highest among large metropolitan areas, coming in at $3.28 per gallon.
The cost of a gallon of petrol in Pine Bluff is currently $3.13, which is 12 cents higher than the price on the same day one week ago and 16 cents higher than the price at the same point in time one year ago. Drivers in this city are spending the lowest amount of money on gas.
“Volatility remains front-and-center in the energy markets, but overall, there has been upward pressure on fuel prices,” said AAA spokesperson Nick Chabarria. “To get the best fuel economy, it’s important to remember to drive within posted speed limits, keep your vehicle well-maintained, and shop around for the best gas price using resources like the AAA Mobile app.”
According to the AAA, drivers in the state of Arkansas are paying the third lowest average price for petrol in the country, while drivers in the state of California are paying the most at $4.52 per gallon.
