Arkansas headed to the Liberty Bowl to play Kansas
Fayetteville, Arkansas – The 6-6 Razorbacks have been chosen for the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee, where they will play the Kansas Jayhawks, claims national sports writer Brett McMurphy.
Only twice in its history has Arkansas faced Kansas, and both times it came up short, in 1905 and 1906.
In the previous Liberty Bowl, Arkansas defeated Kansas State 45–23.
The Hogs will be eligible for the Bowl game for the third year in a row. In the Outback Bowl last year, Arkansas defeated Penn State 24-10.
Under Sam Pittman, the Razorbacks were first eligible for the Bowl in 2020. They were chosen to play in that year’s Texas Bowl alongside TCU.
Sadly, Hog fans never had the chance to witness that Bowl game because it had to be postponed owing of COVID-19 issues on TCU’s end.
