Arkansas – The current ultimate Powerball jackpot prize remains one of the largest in history after no one succeeded in matching the winning number at Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing. The winning numbers on Wednesday were 02, 11, 22, 35, 60, and powerball number 23.

Currently, the Powerball jackpot prize has reached $1.5 billion, and the next drawing is set to take place Saturday night. The cash value is more than $745 million if the one-time cash payment is chosen.

There was no ultimate jackpot winner in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, but Wednesday’s drawing was lucky for one Arkansan, who won $2 million. Shortly after the drawing, the information was confirmed by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. The winning ticket was sold at the H&M Food Mart in Wooster, Arkansas.

Arkansas Scholarship Lottery added that the lucky winner matched the five winning numbers but didn’t have the Powerball number. The initial prize was $1 million, but the winner will get $2 million because he purchased the Power Play for an additional dollar. A total of 19 people nationwide won a million or two million prizes. Sixteen people won $1 million in prizes, while a total of three people won $2 million, including the lucky Arkansas winner.

H&M Food Mart will also benefit from the prize. As usual, stores receive commission for every winning ticket sold, and in this case, H&M Food Mart would receive $20,000 in commission.

On Saturday, the Powerball jackpot prize will be $1.5 million, which is the third-largest lottery prize in U.S. history. No one has won the top Powerball prize since Aug. 3, making for 39 consecutive drawings without anyone matching all six numbers.

The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292.2 million. Such odds make winning the jackpot almost impossible, which in turn allows the grand prize to grow so large.
