Arkansas once again added over 1,000 new Covid-19 cases. slight increase in the number of active cases across the state

Arkansas – After a few days of positive data, Arkansas Covid-19 numbers show slight increase in the number of active Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.
According to the report issued by the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas recorded a total of 1,027 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.
In the same report, a total of 21 Covid-19 related deaths were reported.
Since the start of the pandemic, Arkansas now reaches 540,510 Covid-19 cases and 8,901 deaths.
The number of active cases increased by 155 and sits at 7,478.
One person less was reported as hospitalized and the number of hospitalizations is now 517. 99 people are on ventilators support which is three less compared to Tuesday’s report.
“Active cases increased, but they are slightly lower than last week. Our hospitalizations continue to remain at some of the highest levels since October. 87% of COVID hospitalizations are unvaccinated. The best protection we have is the vaccine,” said Gov. Hutchinson on Twitter.
