COVID-19
Arkansas reported almost 800 new Covid-19 cases, slight decrease in the number of active cases, daily Covid-19 report

Arkansas – The total number of new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday reached almost 800 new cases, but the total number of active cases decreased which we hope to become a trend in the upcoming period.
According to the Tuesday’s daily Covid-19 report issued by the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas added a total of 782 new cases, now reaching a total of 539,483 cases since the start of the pandemic.
In the same report, ADH added a total of 15 Covid-19 related deaths. With the latest numbers, the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic now reaches 8,880.
What comes as a positive news is the fact that the number of active cases decreased and we believe this might be a start of a trend. Currently, there are 7,323 active cases across the state which is 65 less compared to the day before.
There are 518 people in hospital and 102 people on ventilator support.
Counties with the highest number of cases in today’s report are Pulaski, Sebastian and Benton adding 69, 65 and 61 cases respectively.
As per the report, a total of 15,759 doses of the vaccines were administrated in the last 24 hours.
