Arkansas reports 3,330 new coronavirus cases, 33 additional deaths



Arkansas – The Arkansas Department of Health on Sunday evening reported 3,330 new Covid-19 cases and 33 more deaths. 2,856 of those cases are confirmed and 474 are probable.

This brings to a total of 255,076 Covid-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic and 27,492 active cases at the moment.

There are currently 1,340 people hospitalized and 3,600 Arkansans recovered from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to statistics from Johns Hopkins University there were 1,253.5 new cases per 100,000 people in Arkansas over the past two weeks, which ranks sixth in the US for new cases per capita. One in every 148 people in Arkansas tests positive in the last week.

The state is currently in Phase 1-A, and 203,375 vaccinations have been received, with more than 77,000 administered in the state, according to the department of health. Phase 1-A includes Arkansans who are healthcare workers, long-term care residents, and staff or high priority first responders.
