Arkansas Travelers confirm their spot in the playoffs for the second straight year and reveal the date of ticket sales
North Little Rock, Arkansas – The Corpus Christi Hooks were defeated 6-1 on Saturday night by the Arkansas Travelers, who secured their spot in the Texas League playoffs for the second straight year.
During their last home game of the regular season on Sunday, the team-a double – A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners – announced that tickets for the playoffs will go on sale on Monday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m.
The squad, led by players like pitcher Logan Evans and 2022 first-round pick Cole Young, is not only going to the postseason for the second consecutive year but also for the fourth time in the previous six seasons.
Pitcher Peyton Alford stated that qualifying for the postseason for a second straight year is an honor.
“It’s really, really special to be back in the playoffs,” Alford said. “Winning back-to-back is extremely special and I think it speaks to our group of guys and the coaches and what we’re all about in this organization. A lot of guys go their entire careers without making it to the playoffs.”
The Travs take face the Springfield Cardinals in their first playoff game on September 17. You can get tickets on MILB.com.
