Batesville police investigating a Friday afternoon bank robbery
Batesville, Arkansas – An afternoon bank robbery happened on Friday. Batesville police were investigating.
According to officers, at around 1:15 p.m., a bank employee of the Citizens Bank on Saint Louis Street was filling an ATM when they were approached by two males.
The men grabbed three boxes of cash from the employee and fled in a black/dark grey Chevy vehicle, according to the reports.
A vehicle matching that description was pursued by Independence County deputies, but the vehicle was able to get away, officials said.
According to authorities, the vehicle may have Texas license plates.
Batesville police ask anyone with information about the suspects to call at 870-569-8111.
