Blytheville man sentenced to 25 years in rape case
Little Rock, Arkansas — After sexually assaulting several students at his former school, a Blytheville man pled guilty and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
A 29-year-old, former school teacher Gregory Briggs, was arrested in May 2020 after several victims told Blytheville police that Briggs either had sex with them or discussed sexual activity with students.
On May 23, Briggs pled guilty to two counts of sexually grooming a child, two counts of internet stalking of a child, and third-degree sexual assault.
According to official documents, some of those acts included sending sexually explicit pictures and videos over social media or text messaging and performing sexual acts in exchange for vaping products.
Briggs reportedly confessed to the relationship he had with the several 13-year-old victims and purchased the items for each victim.
