Catholic High School alumnus serves as a back judge for the Super Bowl
Little Rock, Arkansas – This year’s Super Bowl saw a strong representation from Catholic High School for Boys.
In Super Bowl LIX (59), Jonah Monroe, a 1997 Catholic High School graduate, was the back judge.
The chance to officiate a Super Bowl and represent a place that shaped him as a young man makes Monroe proud, he said.
I am aware that this accomplishment by an alumna is fantastic for Catholic High,” Monroe remarked. “Representing Catholic High in the Super Bowl makes me really proud. When I thought about Father Tribou, Catholic High, and how it affected my path to this point, I genuinely (and quietly) started crying.
In addition to serving as a field judge during the 2017 season, Monroe recently concluded his tenth season in the NFL, where he has also held the positions of back judge and side judge.
