CCSO K9 gets a vest for protection
Craighead County, Arkansas – It won’t be as risky for one K9 deputy to protect Craighead County residents.
K9 Faye of the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office just received a bullet and stabbing protective vest from Vested Interest in K9s.
The words “In memory of K9 Gabo, Jonesboro, AR-EOW 1/16/20” are stitched on the $1,800 vest.
In 2018, Gabo was shot five times at close range during a standoff, but he was spared death thanks to a bulletproof vest and stabproof vest. Two years later, he passed away from a “serious illness.”
Vested Interest in K9s was founded in 2009 and has now given more than 5,918 vests to K9s in all 50 states, totaling $6.9 million.
