Daily Covid-19 report for June 20: Arkansas added 133 new positive cases

Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Arkansas added 133 new positive Covid-19 cases in the latest report provided by the Arkansas Department of Health.
No deaths were reported as a result of the virus in the last 24 hours.
With the latest numbers, the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic now reached 345,605. The total number of deaths remain the same, sitting at 5,874.
The total number of active cases decreased compared to Saturday, now seeing 2,464 active cases. However, the number of hospitalized people as a result of the virus is 261, which is up for 17 compared to Saturday.
Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
Today’s report of increased hospitalizations is particularly concerning. We know the vaccine can dramatically reduce your risk of being hospitalized due to COVID-19, so take some time this week to go out and get the shot.
