Little Rock, Arkansas – Every year, Catholic High School for Boys celebrates a very special and unique tradition that hasn’t altered in many years.

The school has been doing ring ceremonies for more than 50 years.

“They began the custom of giving away rings to seniors seventy years ago. Now, this ring ritual was probably established over sixty years ago. “It’s a unique feature that distinguishes it from many other schools,” says Tim Ezzi, the athletic director at Catholic High School.

With the exception of color, which changed from gold to silver when the price of gold was rising, the ring itself hasn’t altered in 70 years.

To be the first in their family to receive a ring or to carry on a unique family tradition passed down from father to son, many students eagerly await this day.

“I had a great experience today getting my ring and being reunited with all of my brothers.” Being the last member of my family to receive a ring was a thrilling time for me, as I am the fourth brother to do so. “I am thrilled to conclude this year alongside my brothers,” says Powell Olaimey, President of the Student Body.

These pupils are united in brotherhood by the ring, which is more than just a custom.

Chris Pace, the vice president of the student body, says, “This ring right here ties us to the brotherhood and to the alumni.”
