Despite the fact that vaccination rate increases, Arkansas added more than 2,000 cases in latest Covid-19 daily report

The vaccination rate is on the rise in Arkansas in the last couple of weeks, but the daily number are pretty high since Arkansas Department of Health once again reported more than 2,000 cases on a daily basis.

According to the latest report issued on Friday, the state added 2,117 new cases and 13 additional deaths.

With the latest numbers included, since the start of the pandemic Arkansas added a total of 418,290 cases and 6,445 deaths.

Currently, there are 25,721 active cases. 1,452 people are hospitalized and 291 of them are on ventilators.

In the last 24 hours, 14,499 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administrated.

Pulaski, Benton and Washington reported the most cases in the latest report adding 228, 180 and 134 respectively.

Today’s report shows some improvement from last week. Vaccinations are up and new cases are down, but we still are seeing strain on our hospitals. @ADHPIO has vaccine clinics across the state, and it’s available in your community.
