During A-State Homecoming Week, businesses experience a surge in activity
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Arkansas State University’s homecoming week was not only filled with fan yells and excitement, but area businesses were also bustling.
Homecoming week brings with it an increase in business, according to Anna Banks of J-Towns Grill.
“We were quite busy during my entire time here. I met a couple of the many out-of-town and out-of-state fans that came in to see the game,” she remarked. “They actually arrived here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.”
She mentioned that they go through a lot of preparations this time of year.
“We usually cook extra to make sure we have enough wings and other stuff so we don’t have to wait as long or run out of anything,” the woman remarked. “Usually bringing in extra staff to make sure everyone is taken care of.” I am aware of Friday evening. We were rushing to close because we were so busy.
On Saturday, October 6, the Red Wolves defeated the South Alabama Jaguars, 18–16 in the end.
The following matchup is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, against Texas State.
