Fire authorities in Pine Bluff are looking into a series of fires that started over the weekend
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Eight fires broke out in Pine Bluff in two days, all over the weekend, and Pine Bluff Fire Chief Shauwn Howell is calling this unusual.
According to Howell, “having that many fires in such a short period of time was very uncommon.”
Less than ten minutes separated each fire, and according to Howell, they are investigating whether they are related.
According to Howell, the main goal of the existing collaboration between law enforcement and other agencies is to determine whether a connection exists.
According to him, two businesses and six dwellings were damaged in the fire.
According to Howell, “the ones that were vacant you can say intentionally set.” “One of the fires was a business that is now a liquor store, and the other two were vacant; the former was a tire shop.”
The owner said that there was an electrical issue outside the booze store, but everything is now operational again.
Only one house sustained significant damage, and the tire shop is still closed.
“We would like to speak with a few people to see if they have any information about the origins of these fires,” Howell stated.
Please contact the Pine Bluff Police Department at 870-541-5300 or the Pine Bluff Fire Department at 870-730-2048 if you are able to assist with this inquiry.
