Following a gunshot on Sunday afternoon, Brandon Ringo of North Little Rock police makes an arrest

North Little Rock, Arkansas – The North Little Rock Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a gunshot that happened on Sunday and injured one person, according to department officials.

Officers responded to reports of a gunshot incident at the junction of JFK and McCain Boulevard at 11:49 a.m., according to investigators.

Officers discovered an adult male victim who had at least one gunshot wound lying on the ground when they arrived. After being taken to a nearby hospital, the man is receiving treatment for a non-life-threatening wound.

The NLRPD reported that they were able to find the suspect, Latarryes Bush, 20, in the 3900 block of North Cypress after speaking with witnesses and obtaining a description of the suspect’s car.

After being placed under arrest, Bush later told investigators that the victim’s refusal to give Bush a portion of his property was the reason behind the incident. Charges against him include attempted capital murder, aggravated robbery, battery in the first degree, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a Schedule Six controlled substance with intent to supply.

Bush was taken to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility, according to the police, where he is being held without bond.
