Gas prices in Arkansas are gradually rising
Jonesboro, Arkansas – This week, drivers in Arkansas are spending a little more on gas.
The average price of gasoline in the Natural State increased 6.9 cents to $2.78 per gallon last week, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations.
That is 2.3 cents more per gallon than it was last year and 11 cents more than it was a month ago.
Last week, the average price of regular unleaded increased by 4.8 cents per gallon to $3.09 nationwide.
Much of the country “continues to see mostly stable prices,” according to GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, despite prices gradually rising.
“Trade policy has not yet had a direct impact on fuel prices, as tariffs on Canada and Mexico are currently on hold,” Patrick De Haan stated. “At this time of year, the general trend of gas prices is still typical, but we continue to monitor any policy changes that may have an effect on fuel prices.”
