Gas prices in Arkansas increase by more than 8 cents
Jonesboro, Arkansas – Gas costs are rising even while the temperature is dropping.
According to GasBuddy.com, the average price of gasoline in Arkansas increased by 8.5 cents per gallon to $2.69 over the past week.
That’s 9.3 cents higher than last year and 8.7 cents more per gallon than drivers spent a month ago.
Last week, the national average increased by 5.6 cents to $3.03 per gallon.
Although there were a few days in recent weeks when the national average fell below $3 a gallon, GasBuddy’s head of petroleum stated that such days are “probably behind us.”
Patrick De Haan stated, “GasBuddy’s 2025 Fuel Outlook, which was published last week, predicts persistent modest increases at the pump in the coming weeks prior to the larger seasonal spike that starts in mid-to-late February and lasts through spring.”
