Gloves Not Guns to Host Arkansas State Junior Olympics Boxing Tournament
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – The City of Pine Bluff has been selected to host the Arkansas State Junior Olympics Boxing Tournament.
Pine Bluff was selected from several cities including Mena, Texarkana, and Harrison. Its “Gloves Not Guns” will serve as the host club for the event.
The tournament will take place June 17-18 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, according to Coach Albert Brewer.
In July, Junior Olympic boxers representing over 20 Arkansas boxing clubs will compete for the opportunity to advance to the National Junior Olympic Championships.
Bouts will commence at 7 pm on June 17th and at 4 pm on June 18th. Adult general admission will be $10.00, ages 17 to 7 will be $5.00, and no charge for children 6 years and younger.
