Little Rock, Arkansas – During the 27th Annual Awards Celebration on Thursday at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock, seven Arkansas organizations received Arkansas Governor Quality Awards.
Black River Technical College in Pocahontas, Mainstream Technologies Inc. in Little Rock, Cromwell Architects, and Engineers in Little Rock, Delta Dental of Arkansas in Sherwood, L’Oréal USA in North Little Rock, PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Waldo, and the PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Warren received these awards from Governor Asa Hutchison.
“The award process drives organizations toward quality principles.” a news release said. “Organizations self-assess and carefully review the award-level requirements before deciding at which level to apply. Each level increases the requirements of the applicant to describe systematic processes and results. In addition to the award recognition, the greatest value for program participants is the in-depth evaluation and written feedback report citing strengths and areas for improvement.”
The first award level, the Challenge Award, was given to PotlatchDeltic Corporation in Waldo and Warren, Delta Dental of Arkansas, L’Oréal USA in North Little Rock, and L’Oréal USA in North Little Rock.
The Achievement Level, the third of four award levels, was given to Mainstream Technologies, Inc.
“The goal of the program is to encourage Arkansas organizations to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence.” a news release said.
The Commitment Award, which is at the second level, was given to Little Rock’s Cromwell Architects and Engineers.
According to a news release, Black River Technical College was the second institution in the state to receive recognition at the highest level, the Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence.
The Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence, the highest honor, has only ever been given to 27 organizations in Arkansas.
