Historic Central High School street to be renamed
Little Rock, Arkansas – On Tuesday night, The Little Rock City Board voted to change the name of the street in front of Central High School.
The street name will change from South Park Street to “Little Rock Nine Way”.
This move comes as this week marks the 65th anniversary of when nine African American students were finally able to attend high school.
The school became one of the first in the country to desegregate.
