Hot Springs man was arrested and charged with murder for killing his infant son, police

Hot Springs, Arkansas – Arkansas father was arrested on Tuesday and he is now facing murder charges for the death of his infant son, the local police department confirmed.

According to the incident report, the local authorities responded at the scene to the 200 block of Bellaire Drive around 6:40 p.m. Friday in reference to an unresponsive infant.

When they arrived there, they found the infant who was unresponsive, but still alive. The little baby was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. Shortly after it was admitted to the hospital, it was determined that the child needed to go to Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The child was later pronounced dead.

Police said after an autopsy, the death was ruled as a homicide.

The initial investigation showed that the infant’s father was the main suspect in the case. He was identified as Cody Webb and he was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday.

Webb was being held in the Garland County jail with no bond.
