House fire in Pine Bluff, one person dead
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – On Wednesday afternoon, one person died following a residential fire at a house in central Pine Bluff.
According to a press release, the fire was reported at 2307 W. 11th Ave., at 5:05 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames at the front of the house.
A body was found inside the home after extinguishing the fire.
According to Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley, the body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity, as well as the cause and manner of death.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two-and-a-half hours and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
