Husband allegedly shot and killed his wife early on Sunday

Little Rock, Arkansas – Early on Sunday morning, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office made a statement regarding the shooting death of a woman.

At 5:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of Szymanski Road due to a shooting.

When they got there, they discovered Donald Payne, 67, who had already given himself up.

His wife, Karen Payne, age 67, was discovered and seemed to have passed away from a gunshot wound.

According to deputies, they both resided at the place.

Donald is being held without bond at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility after being charged with first-degree murder.

The state medical examiner’s office received Karen’s body and requested an autopsy report.
