Investigation into the death of a man in Scott County led to one arrest
Little Rock, Arkansas – The investigation into the death of a 33-year-old man in Scott County led to the arrest of a possible suspect.
Deputies within the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Arkansas State Police were sent to a home located at 293 Ross Creek Road after receiving a report of shots being fired. The call they had received was made by a witness at approximately 8:45 p.m. on November 27.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a dead man who had been shot outside the home, on the front porch. The victim was identified as Eldder Santiago Bautista.
The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined.
A man identified as 33-year-old Luis Gabriel Olivares, who was said to have been staying at the home where authorities responded, was observed later that night carrying a firearm close to the home. He was arrested by a responding state trooper and has been taken into custody for further questioning.
There have been no official charges brought against anybody in connection with the case yet.
