June saw a decrease in sales of medical marijuana
Little Rock, Arkansas – There was a little decrease in the amount of medical marijuana that Arkansans purchased in June compared to the prior months.
A total of $21.7 million was made in sales during the month of June, as reported by the Department of Finance and Administration of the state. Compared to the $22.8 million in April and the $22.9 million in May, this is a decrease.
The sales of medical marijuana from January 1 to June 30 amounted to a total of $135.5 million. When compared to the same period of time the previous year, when revenues were $141 million, this is a decline of around $5.5 million.
“State tax revenue collection on medical marijuana from April to June was $7.9 million, bringing the total (since the industry launched) to $136 million,” said Scott Hardin, communications director for the DFA.
According to him, a report that details the number of pounds sold by each dispensary from April to June would be made available at a later time.
