Little Rock family remembers father who died after Wednesday afternoon shooting
Little Rock, Arkansas – A candlelight service was held Thursday night for the relatives and friends of the man who was slain in the shooting at the convenience store on Wednesday.
Barry Campbell, a 34-year-old father of four was shot on Little Rock’s 12th Street and taken to a nearby hospital where he eventually passed away, was shot.
The darkest day of Barry’s wife Shanetta’s life, she stated during the service at War Memorial Park.
“I am praying to God there is justice for my husband,” said Shanetta.
Barry reportedly lost his mother earlier this year, and he passed away just a few days before her birthday, according to Shanetta.
She claimed that just as the family was coming to terms with the loss of the mother, another family member had to be buried.
Larry Crutchfield, Barry’s uncle, recalled that Barry pleaded with the violence to halt because he loved his family and friends.
Crutchfield stated, “I just want to say to Little Rock, it has got to stop someplace, it has got to stop.”
Barry’s death is still being investigated by police for a person of interest.
