Little Rock School District superintendent Michael Poore to retire at the end of the year

Little Rock, Arkansas – In a Thursday announcement, Little Rock School District superintendent Michael Poore said that he plans to retire at the end of the current school year.
According to him, the reason for his retirement is because he wants to spend more time with his friends and family.
Poore was selected as the superintendent of Little Rock School District in June 2016, making the transition from Bentonville, where he served as superintendent for five years.
In 2021, Poore was named “superintendent of the year” by the Arkansas Association of School Administrators.
