Little Rock School District welcomes superintendent
Little Rock, Arkansas — On Friday, the Little Rock Board welcomed its new Superintendent during a welcome reception at the Clinton Presidential Center Great Hall in Little Rock.
A Florida native, Dr. Jermall Wright, comes with years of experience in education beginning in 1997 as a 5th-grade and middle school social studies teacher in Jacksonville, FL.
He then transitioned to an administrative role as assistant principal with Alachua County Public Schools in Gainesville, FL before establishing his tenure as an elementary and secondary school principal with The Potter’s House Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL, Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, FL, and the District of Columbia Public Schools in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Wright then went to serve Yazoo City and Humphreys County in Mississippi where he presently served as the Chief Academic and Accountability Officer before taking his new leadership role in central Arkansas.
In order to officially welcome Wright as Superintendent of the Little Rock School District, community leaders in Little Rock gathered with members of the school board and residents of the community.
