Man died in shooting in Pine Bluff overnight; suspect in custody
Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Pine Bluff police said that a man was shot and murdered overnight, and they are currently conducting an investigation.
The Pine Bluff Police Department reports that at around one in the morning on Monday, officers were responding to an unrelated complaint when they heard gunshots. After starting their investigation, the investigators claimed to have discovered a male lying close to The Arbor on Fir Apartments.
Timothy Cannady, 37, was the victim who was later identified by police as having been declared dead at the scene.
According to the officers, Marravius Keshawn Jackson, 22, informed dispatchers he was the shooter and that he had left the site. Police said that Jackson had been taken into custody when they had returned to the scene.
Jackson is accused of first-degree murder and is presently being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
