Man suspected of stealing a car from the Little Rock Police Department

Little Rock, Arkansas – On Friday night, a man is accused of stealing a Little Rock police cruiser from the Pulaski County jail. He has since been taken into custody.

Kenneth Eaton, 34, is being held without bond and is anticipated to be charged with felony theft of property.

The patrol car a Little Rock Police officer was driving was taken just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday while he was attempting to check a prisoner into the Pulaski County Regional Jail (PCRJ). While the officer was inside PCRJ completing paperwork, the patrol car was stolen.

A little while later, officers found the abandoned patrol car on Valmar Street.

Officers later searched the area for the culprit, Kenneth Eaton, after receiving a tip.

Around 11:00 p.m., Eaton was taken into custody near 24th and Valmar.

An administrative inquiry is still ongoing.
