Missing North Little Rock K9 found
North Little Rock, Arkansas – Rakkie, the North Little Rock police K9 who went missing Wednesday morning, has been found.
Police said Rakkie was located near the area he went missing on Foxridge Road in Pulaski County.
“He appears to be okay and in good spirits,” the North Little Rock Police Department said in a post. “We appreciate all of our social media friends who shared K9 Rakkie’s missing post.”
Rakkie was shot while responding to a barricaded suspect in June. He suffered an injury to his leg during this incident.
At the time, police said Rakkie would not be able to return to duty and would be retiring in the near future.
