More than $125,000 has been raised by donors to support a nonprofit organization in Little Rock
Little Rock, Arkansas – Although Giving Tuesday has concluded, contributions are still flowing in for a nonprofit organization in central Arkansas.
Earlier this week, Aaron Reddin, the executive director of The Van, discussed the nonprofit’s initiatives to acquire a permanent emergency shelter.
Reddin reported that as of Tuesday, donors have contributed over $125,000. The nonprofit is now under contract for a building ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 square feet, which will serve as both an emergency shelter during inclement weather and a year-round thrift store.
He mentioned that The Van has secured a loan for the remaining expenses of the building but is aiming to cover the costs in full.
Individuals looking to contribute can make donations at ItsTheVan.org.
