New bowling alley under construction
Paragould, Arkansas – This winter, a movie theater will be converted into a bowling alley.
Work on Let’s Roll Paragould is currently in progress. Residents of Region 8 will have access to golf simulators, laser tag, bowling, and other activities at the new entertainment complex.
Some of the bowling lanes will be duckpin lanes, which is a first for the state, according to co-owner Chris Moyer.
“We’ll be Arkansas’s first duckpin bowling center,” Moyer declared. “It simply adds a new attraction; it’s more akin to social entertainment.”
Duckpin alleys are roughly half as long as regular bowling lanes, although they are the same width. According to Moyer, it’s a much more laid-back form of the sport for both kids and adults.
According to Moyer, Let’s Roll intends to offer alcohol at the on-site eatery. He claimed that Paragould desperately needed atmosphere.
“People really needed a space in this town for a true restaurant and bar experience, and it has high revenue and a good social experience,” Moyer said.
Before the bowling alley can sell alcohol, the city council must authorize a license, which hasn’t happened yet, according to Mayor Josh Agee.
Construction on the bowling alley is expected to be finished by February 2025.
